Erik Brescher
Vice President of Innovation and Technology
Phoenix Global Media Group
Erik Brescher brings a lifetime of experience in leadership and education to Phoenix Global Media Group, where he serves as a logistician, strategist, and problem solver.
As a youth, Erik was a competitive swimmer and Boy Scout; being one of the youngest Eagle Scouts in the history of the Boy Scouts of America. His leadership and logistical experience has served him well in every aspect of his professional and personal life.
After completing a history degree, Erik Brescher worked for 18 years as a high school history teacher. Over that career, Erik served in organizational leadership as a Lead Teacher for his department and as a Lead Negotiator for a 240-member collective bargaining unit. Leaving education in 2020, Erik has since pursued and harnessed his creative muses. As owner of Kraken Fabrications, LLC (NJ), Erik designs and develops prototypes for consumer products that integrate technology with modern materials in new and innovative ways.
Music has been a passion in Erik’s life since childhood, both as a listener and a musician. In college, Erik was a DJ at his college radio station for two years. As an electric bass player, Erik has played professionally for the last 29 years in original and cover bands, wedding bands, and nationally touring artists. Erik is a co-founder of Jam with the Band Karaoke, the East Coast’s premier full-band karaoke experience and has served the role of bass player, musical director, and scrolling lyrics manager for over 14 years. As an educator, Erik was able to share his passion in the classroom, where he developed and taught a high school elective on Music in American History. He brings his perspective as a performer and educator to the Air App as a Musical Director.
Erik’s greatest treasure in life is his wife and two sons. In addition to playing electric bass, Erik also enjoys painting (mostly acrylic paints on canvas) and his work can be found under the name Br35ch on Instagram.
