Greg Underkoffler, a.k.a. Comic Book Greg, is a passionate educator and storyteller who brings his love of music to life through his show Explorations in Music. With 30 years of teaching experience, Greg’s dedication to education was recognized with the 2019 Teacher Impact Award and two Apple Awards from the National Teacher of the year Pennsylvania.
A Penn State University graduate with a degree in Exercise and Sport Science and a master’s in athletic management from Millersville University, Greg’s career has spanned both education and athletics. However, his deep passion for music has always been at the heart of his journey.
Through Explorations in Music, Greg takes listeners on an immersive journey through musical history, revealing the connections between genres, cultures, and eras. Whether uncovering the roots of the blues, tracing the evolution of hip-hop, or exploring the science behind sound, Greg brings a teacher’s insight and a fan’s enthusiasm to every episode proving that music has no boundaries.
